Besides the huge archive, Aschaffenburg offers a big regional library for public use. In addition to certificates, official documents from companies and political parties, numerous photo collections, and newspaper articles can be found, which are more than a hundred years old – enough material to digitally expand the historical repertoire of the city.
Our team reached out to this task and developed a participatory website to explore and research the cities history. Everyone has the opportunity to expand the digital street map and contribute with their own research results. Special areas of the city are provided with QR code stickers, which are linked to the articles of the website. In combination with the smartphone or tablet, we made it easy to explore the important hotspots.
Not only historical contributions can be called upon the website – current topics all around Aschaffenburg, as well as information about events and more, are highlighted on the landing page.
Feel free to start your digital journey now and click here to visit the website.
