wamiki Magazine

wamiki is a magazine for educators. Our first job for them was to create a wordmark that would draw both semantically and visually on the name of their parent company, Was mit Kindern (Something with Kids). In 2015, the Art Directors Club of Germany named our editorial design one of the year’s best magazine concepts.

About Exhibitions

Exhibiting the Exhibition, at the Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden, explored exhibiting as a cultural technology. From Renaissance-era cabinets of curiosities to today’s curatorial situation, it took in works of art, museum displays, picture frames and historical catalogs. The catalog we designed for it was awarded the Deutsche Designer Club’s Gute Gestaltung award for 2019.

Examples to Follow!

From 2010 to 2014, the exhibition Examples to Follow! Expeditions in Aesthetics and Sustainability traveled across five continents, presenting artistic ideas and strategies that aspire to preserve the planet and make a real difference in our consumer habits.

Patient paper

Germany’s Coordination Office for the Preservation of Written Cultural Heritage (KEK) was founded to ensure that the country’s rich legacy of historical documents is permanently protected for future generations. Based in Berlin, the office oversees a national preservation plan and supports various projects around the country.

New Utopias, New Challenges

Launched in 2018, UTOPOLIS is a network of 16 pilot projects created to demonstrate sustainable structures for Germany’s culture scene. These model sites explore how art and culture can bring inspiration and change to local neighborhoods and their residents. We designed the program’s website, utopolis.online, to be both a source of information about the projects and a »toolbox« of tried and tested methods that anyone can copy.
